Self-Leadership

Every “player” in the workplace – whether formally an employee or otherwise attached to the workplace – is to some degree and at certain times self-leading.

You have to be. The days when everything was the responsibility of your immediate manager are rapidly fading. So are the days when everyone you worked with had just one line manager to refer to.

Now… when you join a certain work team in the capacity of employee, free-lancer, a colleague from another part of the organisation, you’re automatically asked to lead yourself in sync with the goals you’re working on, the organisation you’re working in, and the people you’re working with.

And the responsibility of your leaders and coaches is to help and support you in doing so.

This is the topic of the new book I expect to publish this autumn. But you don’t have to wait for the book to learn more. Starting October 1st, my calendar is open for 1- or 2-hour lectures on the topic. For instance in relation with your next off-site meeting, your quarterly leadership conference or similar situations.
